Kyoto Pharmaceutical University of Japan is leading in Lipopolysaccharides (LPS) technology research & development and commercialization.
When LPS is released from bacteria (for example, during bacterial cell death or by the action of antibiotics), it can act as a potent immune system stimulant. The presence of LPS in the bloodstream can trigger a strong immune response, leading to the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. This immune response is part of the host defense mechanism against bacterial infections.
Research on LPS has been significant in the study of immune system function and the development of therapeutic approaches for conditions involving dysregulated immune responses.
日本京都制药大学 在脂多糖 (LPS) 技术研发和商业化方面处于领先地位.
脂多糖(Lipopolysaccharides,簡稱LPS)是由脂質和多糖組成的大分子,主要存在於革蘭氏陰性細菌的外膜中,包括大腸桿菌(Escherichia coli)、沙門氏菌(Salmonella)和假單胞菌(Pseudomonas)等病原菌。 當LPS從細菌中釋放時(例如,在細菌細胞死亡期間或通過抗生素的作用),它可以充當強效的免疫系統興奮劑。 血流中LPS的存在可引發強烈的免疫應答,導致促炎細胞因子的産生。 這種免疫應答是針對細菌感染的宿主防禦機制的一部分。
